Kier Group is an integrated property, residential, construction and services business, with a huge portfolio of real estate and construction projects across the UK.
Following rapid growth, the volume of equipment and support Kier required far outweighed its capacity to supply it, with more and more sites spread out across the UK. Staff were facing long delays from the time of ordering new technology, to the point where it was delivered and set up with all necessary software stacks.
SCC were selected to supply and install more than 2,000 Lenovo laptops, bringing this turnaround time down to just five days, with over 100 devices being procured and set up every week.

It’s helped us meet our standards of service and exceed our customers’ expectations.” SCC continues to provide device rollout services, as well as ongoing support for over 8,500 devices to Kier sites across the UK.
SCC has also helped Kier upgrade over 5,000 machines to Windows 7 and provide data transfer services between retired machines and upgraded devices. Katie added, “Kier is a varied group; we have a property, residential, construction and services business reach with very different requirements, and the project we’ve undergone with SCC has allowed us to meet the demands of all our customers.”
